The way in which decisions are made really only incorporate three steps: Sense, Decide, Act. The issue with this decision process is that there is a step missing. You have probably never thought that there was a step missing because that has never been pointed out before. So what is that step you ask? Well, let’s take a look!

The Missing Step

So you’re going through and notice a problem predictive_marketing_2 in your marketing efforts. Maybe your blogs are not getting enough engagement. So, you quickly decide on a solution to the problem and put the plan into action. But what are you missing? Well, at first you’re thinking nothing, but after some time you notice that the solution you came up with didn’t work. Now you have spent multiple resources on your solution and the problem is still not solved. This is where predictive marketing comes in. It’s the missing step! Predictive marketing analyzes your problem and provides you with the right solution. This removes the guess work and eliminates wasted resources.

Is This Step Important

Predictive marketing is essential to ensuring success in all of your marketing efforts. This is because it uses analytics and shows you the right content to post at the right time. This ensures that you are always giving your potential buyer the content they are interested in at their stage in the buyer’s journey. Think about the last time you were a buyer. At certain stages you wanted to know certain information and nothing more. If you didn’t receive that information, or you received information that did not matter to you, you most likely became annoyed and moved on to the competition who was doing it right. Well, that’s exactly how your customers feel when you aren’t using predictive marketing. Let’s face it, knowing what your customers want can be difficult, but without knowing, you are just wasting your time. Predictive marketing does the leg work for you, so all you need to do is create the rich content and get it to your customer. What you see in the image below is two additional decision activities. These are activities that most look over but are vital to the decision process. The best part about predictive marketing is that it does the analyzing for you which makes your pre-decision activities and post-decision activities more efficient and more precise.
